Voca for hiring — tap a candidate, book the screen.
Job fairs and university recruiting events are the original 'lots of warm intros, terrible follow-through' problem. Voca closes the loop both ways — recruiters can book screens on the spot, and candidates can hand over a portfolio + LinkedIn + calendar slot without typing a thing.
The problem
- Recruiters collect 80 résumés at a career fair; 60 will never get a follow-up email.
- Candidates hand out paper résumés that don't include the GitHub link or the live portfolio.
- Top candidates want to schedule a screen immediately — the recruiter has to call them three days later, by which time they've accepted somewhere else.
The workflow
-
1
Tap at the booth
Recruiter's Voca card opens the role list; candidate's card opens portfolio + LinkedIn + GitHub.
-
2
Intent → matched action
Candidate picks 'Engineering' → primary CTA shows current open engineering roles. Picks 'Just exploring' → save the recruiter's contact for later.
-
3
On-the-spot screen booking
Candidate clicks 'Book a 30-min screen' → Calendly opens with the recruiter's intake-call slots. Confirmed in 20 seconds.
-
4
ATS sync
(Pro) Webhook fires to Greenhouse / Lever / Workable — candidate profile, intent, recruiter, and event tag arrive as a structured row in your ATS.
Why it works
-
Same-day screens
Candidates book before they leave the booth — interview pipeline fills 5× faster.
-
Quality data into ATS
No more typo'd email addresses or missed LinkedIn URLs — the webhook payload is structured.
-
Candidate parity
Both sides have the same tool — recruiter cards AND candidate cards, both indexed the same way.

FAQ
Can a candidate use the same card for multiple events?
Yes — the card's URL stays the same. You can swap the primary CTA between events (e.g. 'Looking for senior frontend roles' for Conference A, 'Open to new opportunities' for Conference B).
Does Voca handle resumes?
We don't host file uploads yet — but the candidate card can link to a Google Drive PDF, a portfolio site, or a GitHub README.
Can our ATS receive the data without engineering work?
Greenhouse, Lever, and Workable all accept inbound webhooks natively. Point Voca at their webhook URL and you're done.
What about GDPR for the candidate's data?
All candidate data lives on the candidate's own Voca card — they control it, they delete it. The recruiter doesn't store anything Voca doesn't already have.
